CEO, Founder

Amy founded GMSC along with independent physician partners and is responsible for setting company values and providing strategic direction for all aspects of the Surgery Center’s activities. Previously she led healthcare reform initiatives on behalf of independent physicians as the Executive Director of Vermont Healthfirst. Amy holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University.

Melanie Cardinal, RN, MSN

Director of Perioperative & Endoscopy Services

Melanie oversees our Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Endoscopy departments, collaborating closely with GMSC leadership, staff, and physicians to ensure a seamless patient experience from arrival to departure. She also manages credentialing and onboarding new physicians to the Surgery Center. Melanie holds and MSN from Norwich University and a BSN from the University of Vermont.

Stephanie Davies, RN, MSN, CAIP, CNAMB, CNOR

Director of Perioperative & Surgical Services

Stephanie directs our Surgical Services and CSR departments, coordinating and training our nurses, technicians, and first assists, who play an essential role in our partnership with surgeons. She also assumes responsibility for infection control and diligently works to enhance OR efficiency while advocating for the voice of our patients. Stephanie holds an MSN from Western Governors University, a BSN from Chamberlain University and a BA in Social Work from Trinity College of Vermont.

Elizabeth Hunt

Director of Finance & Operations

Liz oversees facility wide operations, regulatory affairs, and directs our financial budget process, ensuring operational efficiencies across the center. Her responsibilities also encompass oversight of the business office, revenue cycle and engagement with the greater community to ensure the delivery of high-quality, affordable and accessible healthcare. Liz holds a BS in Healthcare Administration and an AS in Radiography from Champlain College and a AS in Architectural Engineering from Vermont Technical College.

Lindsey Myers, RN, MSN, CHEP

Director of Clinical Development & Education

Lindsey heads our skills enrichment programs and cross-training teams, orienting new employees to all aspects of the Surgery Center, while also overseeing quality-related projects. She ensures the integration of quality-related data into our daily care operations and evaluates the delivery of patient care services to maintain high standards of quality. Lindsey holds a MSN and BSN from Western Governors University and an ADN from Vermont Technical College.

Rachel Pascual, MBA, SHRM-CP

Director of HR & Marketing

Rachel oversees all facets of Human Resources, guaranteeing optimal staffing aligned with our core values: positivity, partnership, and professionalism. She is responsible for HR strategic planning and manages Marketing, which includes our website and community sponsorships. Rachel holds an MBA from Babson College and a BA in Art and Economics from Bates College.
